Photo requirements
Chest up, face clear
One person, face toward the camera, even light. No hat or hand over the face. Glasses stay on.
Any background works
The AI puts you in front of a plain black backdrop. A dark wall just looks closest to the trend.
Pets welcome
One sharp photo of a cat or dog you own. The pet version turns it into a moon witch's familiar with a tiny crown.
What the clip does
| Time | Beat | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| 0–4s | The hand | You stand before black, eyes closed, one hand held out. A long black clawed hand rises and laces its fingers through yours. |
| 4–5s | The wipe | The black hand sweeps up and covers the lens. One dark whoosh. This is the only cut. |
| 5–10s | The moon witch | You again, now a dark moon witch: gold crescent crown, black lips, lace gown. You open your eyes and raise one finger to your lips. |
Why this trend travels
The hand clasp is the setup, the wipe is the cut, the crown is the reveal. Halloween timing, one photo, and a shh pose people screenshot as a still.

Dark Halloween transformation, one vertical take in front of a plain black backdrop. The person in the photo holds one hand out, eyes closed. 0-4s: a long pitch-black clawed hand rises from below and laces its fingers through theirs. 4-5s: the black hand sweeps over the lens in a dark wipe. 5-10s: the same person as a dark moon witch with a gold crescent crown, dark smoky makeup, black lips, gold necklaces, and a dark lace gown. They open their eyes, stare into the lens, and raise one black finger to their lips in a shh gesture. Same face and eye color. Original dark cinematic beat with a whoosh on the wipe. High neckline, no blood, no gore. No text, no logos, no watermark.
